Mechanics

• Unique Relics can be used on any level area, but rewards are only dropped by the Herald of the Scourge requiring the boss room to be level 80+.
• Unique Relics are destroyed upon completing, failing, or resetting a run.

Strategies

• The player should prioritize Relics that affect Aureus or other benefits, as all modifiers to Resolve or Inspiration will have no benefit.
• Fountains and Afflicted Fountains provide no benefits.
• Accursed Pact options that cause you to "Lose #% of Maximum Resolve" can be taken with no risk.
• Boons that grant immunity to Resolve loss should be prioritized.
• It is possible to cheese the area level of Sanctum room encounters by completing Sanctum encounters in 31x T8 maps, then a T16 map for the Lycia fight. This will cause the first 31 rooms to have an area level of 75 (the minimum required to drop/obtain Sanctified Relics), while Lycia's room will be 80 (the minimum required to encounter the Herald of the Scourge form). The last room of the fight must not be stored as the sanctum opens the rooms in reverse order.

Item acquisition

The Original Scripture has restrictions on where or how it can drop. It cannot be chanced. Has a chance to drop from Lycia, Herald of the Scourge in a Sanctum of area level 81+.
