Strategies
Avoid using the Merchant or Benevolent Fountains unless absolutely necessary. These rewards are not mandatory to be collected and can be skipped and the player can immediately enter the next room.
Prioritize Accursed Pacts, Merchant, and Major Treasure Chest rooms whenever possible. It is generally recommended to kill as many Guards and open as many chests as possible.
Boons: prioritize the Major Boons "Gold Coin" and Minor Boons "Gold Trophy", "Gold Magnet" as soon as possible. Avoid purchasing anything from the Merchant after obtaining Gold Trophy.
Some combinations of Boons (e.g. Bronze Coin and Silver Coin) can allow infinite net-positive generation of Resolve/Aureus; however, this requires multiple Major Boons and is not a reliable strategy.
Afflictions: Avoid the following Afflictions at all costs: "Cutpurse", "Charred Coin", "Door Tax", "Empty Trove", "Floor Tax".
Relics: Use Relics with additional Merchant choices or additional revealed Rooms.
