This quest is given to you by Eramir in the Forest Encampment after completing Through Sacred Ground. There are three different bandit leaders which you can either side with or kill in order to get different rewards.




No matter if you've sided with one of the bandit leader or if you've killed them all, completion of this quest will provide you with the quest item The Apex which you will use on the Dark Altar (entrance located in Pools and StreamsWaterfall CavesAncient Pyramid Level 1).

Important Note: The 18% damage bonus from Oak in Cruel is one of the most effective means to increase Ethereal Knives and Bear Trap damage, and should be strongly considered even for non-weapon based builds.

Patch 1.0.1 added a possibility to change quest reward.

  • To change your bandit quest reward, use the book that you receive from the recipe in the appropriate difficulty. If you had Eramir's reward, you will need a skill point available to change away from it.
