Mechanics

Dying Breath applies a special aura to the character:

Party members and minions within the aura have 18% increased damage. This bonus applies to all damage, including that of spells, traps, and totems. Enemies within the aura are affected by curses from any source with 18% increased magnitude.

Note that the aura given by Dying Breath needs line of sight, unlike auras given by skills. Also, the aura comes from the item, not the player, so it won't be affected by any aura bonuses.
