Armourer's Scrap

Armourer's Scraps are a type of currency that can drop from slain monsters or be purchased from NPCs. They can also be consumed to improve the quality of armour. The amount that the item is improved depends on the the item's rarity.

As Currency

Three Armourer's Scraps can be used to purchase a Blacksmith's Whetstone from Greust in the Forest Encampment. They can be purchased from Tarkleigh in Lioneye's Watch for three Blacksmith's Whetstones.

As Consumable

Applying an Armourer's Scrap to a piece of armour will increase the quality of the item by up to 5% per scrap, up to the maximum item quality of 20%. Increasing the quality of a piece of armour will increase the defensive attributes (Armour, Evasion, Energy Shield, and Block chance for shields) of an item, but not the implicit bonuses (Such as the elemental resistance on kite shields) or the magical bonuses granted by modifiers.
