The range of a skill or effect is the maximum distance it can influence anything from its point of origin.

Melee attacks typically have a relatively short range, while so-called "ranged" attacks and spells can hit targets from much farther away. Attacks and spells with an area of effect also have a range, and affect everything within.

For comparison:

  • 4: A normal one-handed melee attack [1].
  • 5: A normal two-handed melee attack [1].
  • 10: Limit of maximum damage range for Point Blank.
  • 12: Melee Splash [2]

Master of the Arena is a notable passive skill that grants increased melee physical damage. It also grants additional life regeneration, strength, and melee weapon and unarmed range.
