Mechanics
The modifier 10% of Damage from Hits is taken from your Spectres' Life before you works for both your life and energy shield. If your spectres have energy shield (from Discipline or Grave Intentions), 10% shared damage will still be directly subtracted from their life, regardless of Damage Types.[1] It functions differently than Mind Over Matter and similar effects, thus is a reliable damage mitigation for energy shield characters.
