The Shaper: Saints and heathens look the same once the rot takes hold.

Cursed Crypt is an indoor map that uses the Crypt tileset. Like The Crypt in Act 2, this area's layout is a random maze with rooms of varying size. Has areas where Ink Spinners spawn when approached.

Boss Arena

Boss doesn't have an arena. Bridge to his platform is very similar to that in The Crypt Level 2.

  • At 75% health spawns a pack of Ink Spinners on the platform
  • At 50% health spawns a pack of magic Ink Spinners on the platform
  • At 25% health spawns 3 rare Ink Spinners on the platform
  • Casts a powerful black nova when a curse on him expires

If the boss is killed too quickly or lured out of the platform he will not spawn the spiders. Since they drop items and are relatively harmless, it's recommended to kite him around the platform.

Cursing him will result in him doing an AoE nova attack with extremely high elemental damage, consuming the curse. This includes curses delivered by auras, so it is important to remember to disable such auras and removed any curse on hit gems or items.

  • The Atlas of Worlds has been reworked. You now start at the centre and will work your way outwards as you explore a new storyline.
  • Added a new mechanic - Watchstones: These can only be obtained by defeating one of the new Atlas bosses. They can be used to raise the tier of all maps in a particular region of the Atlas, causing all maps of those base types to drop at the new higher tier.

  • The entire Atlas has been reworked. Many map names have changed, as have their balance, tier and position on the Atlas. Many maps have also had their boss fights swapped or completely reworked.
  • The rules used to generate monsters in endgame maps have been significantly reworked and rebalanced around the rate at which we expect players to reliably clear out the map. In general, narrow, linear maps will contain fewer total monsters than maps with complex layouts. We will be closely monitoring and adjusting the balance of this change and expect to make further changes and improvements over time.
