Whenever players or monsters score a knockback, the target will be slightly pushed away from them. A knockback does not stun or interrupt the targets actions.[1]
Knockback always pushes the target away from the caster, for instance if a projectile chains from a farther-away enemy and hits a closer enemy in the back, the closer enemy will still be pushed away from the caster. Being knocked back counts as moving, and the target will suffer the increased damage over time from bleed.
The default knockback distance is 4 units.
