[[Skill gem]]s and [[support gem]]s used to have different quality types: {{c|gem|Superior}} (default), {{c|gem|Anomalous}}, {{c|gem|Divergent}}, and {{c|gem|Phantasmal}}, with the latter three types of qualities exclusively obtainable from [[Heist]] [[Blueprint]]s, either directly by obtaining them from [[Curio Display]]s or indirectly by using a {{il|Prime Regrading Lens}} or {{il|Secondary Regrading Lens}}. Some of these altered the stats of the gem in drastic ways. This system was later replaced by the [[transfigured gem]] system.

The alternate quality system was removed in Version 3.23.0.
