The Orb of Annulment is a currency item that can be used to remove a random modifier from a magic or rare item.

Acquisition

Orbs of Annulment are uncommon currency items that can be dropped by slain monsters, chests, and destructible containers. They also drop from Arcanist's Strongboxes.

They can also be obtained by combining Annulment ShardsAnnulment ShardStack Size: 20A stack of 20 shards becomes an Orb of Annulment., which are dropped exclusively by Harbingers.

Divination cards

• A set of 5 Emperor's Luck¹ can be exchanged for five Orbs of Annulment.

Spending

Orbs of Annulment are used in item crafting, and are especially useful to improve good items with one undesired modifier. Using these orbs is risky though, since the removed modifier is chosen completely randomly.

Special Interactions

Orb of Annulment interacts with Architect prefixes dropped from The Temple of Atzoatl by always removing the Architect prefix before any other affix is removed.

This might not be intended and this behaviour also applies to the "Add a Suffix, Remove a Random Prefix" Beastcrafting recipe.
