Guardians of the Void

The Guardians of the Void are the four bosses of certain Tier 16 maps. They are the guardians of the Shaper. They are:

• Guardian of the Phoenix (Forge of the Phoenix MapForge of the Phoenix MapMap Level: 83
  Map Tier: 16

  He did not see value in a new life.

• Guardian of the Hydra (Lair of the Hydra MapLair of the Hydra MapMap Level: 83
  Map Tier: 16
  Guild Character: ¢Area is influenced by The ShaperOne of my captors wore many faces,
  yet kept her true face hidden.
  Now she cannot escape her true face.Travel to this Map by using it in a personal Map Device. Maps can only be used once.)
• Guardian of the Minotaur (Maze of the Minotaur MapMaze of the Minotaur MapMap Level: 83
  Map Tier: 16
  Guild Character: £Area is influenced by The ShaperOne of my captors felt no emotion.
  He did not hesitate to inflict pain.
  Now all he feels is intense, unstoppable agony.Travel to this Map by using it in a personal Map Device. Maps can only be used once.)
• Guardian of the Chimera (Pit of the Chimera MapPit of the Chimera MapMap Level: 83
  Map Tier: 16
  Guild Character: ÂArea is influenced by The ShaperOne of my captors hid a beast within his heart.
  Now his true self can be seen by all.Travel to this Map by using it in a personal Map Device. Maps can only be used once.)

Mechanics

Occasionally, a Shaper-influenced Tier 16 map can drop, which has one of the four Shaper Guardian specific map bases. The map can be sold by Zana or offered in-map as part of her Atlas Mission.

Upon slaying the boss, they will drop a Map fragment. Open a complete set of fragments in the map device can open portals to fight the Shaper.

Lore

They are the main antagonists of Atlas of Worlds storyline, they are the guardians of the Shaper.

In War for the Atlas storyline, their maps would be occupied by Elder Guardians instead if the players beat all four Guardians of the Void and spread Elder influence to their maps.

Since Conquerors of the Atlas expansion, they do not appear in the epilogue nor on the Atlas (assumed to be beaten like Elder?), but remained accessible from Zana.

3.9.0d	Fixed a bug where completing Shaper Guardians Maps caused all Maps in the Atlas of Worlds to be completed.
3.9.0	The Atlas of Worlds has been reworked. You now start at the centre and will work your way outwards as you explore a new storyline. The Shaper and Elder storyline is gone and has been replaced by a story that takes place in the aftermath of the old story. Zana can now sell Shaper- and Elder-influenced maps once you have progressed your Atlas enough. These act like the old Atlas influence, creating new monsters, threats, and rewards. The Elder, Shaper, and combined Elder and Shaper encounters can still be accessed. If you're lucky, Zana may offer a Elder or Shaper guardian's map!
2.4.1	The Guardians of the Void can no longer be permanently taunted. They can only be taunted every so often.
