Mechanics
The mods involving killing poisoned enemies synergise well with the notable passive, Adder's Touch. Both the poison and regeneration effects on killing a poisoned enemy are spread in a medium-sized area, last 2 seconds. Poison effect spreads the largest Poison stack on an enemy to enemies around it and is stackable. This means that if you have three poisoned enemies each with two stacks all standing close together and you kill two, their largest poison stack on each slain enemy will spread to the third enemy, so the enemy will now have four poison stacks. While using Poison on Traps, Totems or Minions the "On Killing a Poisoned enemy" effect only works if the Poison kill the enemy.[1]
The spreading poison and regeneration are both based on the default Poison duration, not the skill's poison duration, so it'll be a base of two seconds regardless of the skill used.[1]
The spreading poison is not a true proliferation, and is thus not scaled by increases or reductions to area of effect.[2][3]
The life regeneration granted by killing a poisoned enemy is a flat 200 life per second.[a]

Notes
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Prior to this change in version 2.2.0, the life regenerated per second was equal to the damage over time of the strongest poison debuff that was in effect on the killed enemy. The poison overhaul in version 2.1.0 allowed poison to stack multiple times on a single enemy, which made it possible for ludicrous regeneration values to be achieved.[4][5]
