All versions of Shrine Map are legacy as in version 3.16.0, the map is removed from the Atlas. Using this legacy item in the Map Device will opens portals to the area that use "latest" layout and map boss. However, this map has not been reworked so that the map boss is still Piety the Empyrean. Read the main article for details.

Black tiles don't stain so easily.

Shrine Map is the legacy map item from the Betrayal map series, which shares the same internal area id with Module Error: No results found for item using search term "page = Map:Shrine Map (War for the Atlas)" and all other Shrine maps that released after Betrayal.

All versions of Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Shrine Map" are legacy as in version 3.16.0, the map is removed from the Atlas. Using this legacy item in the Map Device will opens portals to the area that use "latest" layout and map boss. However, this map has not been reworked so that the map boss is still Piety the Empyrean. Read the main article for details.

 • The following Maps have been removed from the Atlas: Ancient City, Arachnid Nest, Belfry, Channel, Colosseum, Conservatory, Coves, Defiled Cathedral, Dig, Estuary, Flooded Mine, Forbidden Woods, Forking River, Ghetto, Graveyard, Haunted Mansion, Iceberg, Malformation, Phantasmagoria, Shipyard, Shrine, Silo, Stagnation, and Vault.
3.17.0
 • The following Maps have been added back to the Atlas: Bazaar, Beach, Belfry, Bramble Valley, Burial Chambers, Cage, Channel, City Square, Cold River, Coral Ruins, Coves, Desert Spring, Frozen Cabins, Graveyard, Iceberg, Infested Valley, Ivory Temple, Jungle Valley, Lava Chamber, Marshes, Mesa, Peninsula, Phantasmagoria, Precinct, Primordial Pool, Shipyard, Shrine, and Volcano.
3.16.0
 • This map has been removed from the Atlas.
 • This map can no longer drop.
 • You can still use your existing maps in the Map Device.
 • You can trade your existing maps to vendors. You will receive other maps that are still in the Atlas.
3.9.0
 • Added a new mechanic - Watchstones: These can only be obtained by defeating one of the new Atlas bosses. They can be used to raise the tier of all maps in a particular region of the Atlas, causing all maps of those base types to drop at the new higher tier.
3.5.0
 • The Atlas of Worlds has been shuffled. Most maps have changed tier and location within the Atlas.
 • Many map bosses have also shifted around. Some have been retired and replaced!
3.1.0
 • The entire Atlas has been reworked. Many map names have changed, as have their balance, tier and position on the Atlas. Many maps have also had their boss fights swapped or completely reworked.
 • The rules used to generate monsters in endgame maps have been significantly reworked and rebalanced around the rate at which we expect players to reliably clear out the map. In general, narrow, linear maps will contain fewer total monsters than maps with complex layouts. We will be closely monitoring and adjusting the balance of this change and expect to make further changes and improvements over time.
0.10.1c
 • Fixed the end-game Shrine Map which could not drop.
0.10.1
 • Introduced to the game as one of the area level 77 maps.
