Valdo's Puzzle Box is an item which contains a random tier 17 foil map created by players who have purchased the Sandwraith Assassin Supporter Pack. Completing the map rewards the player with a foil unique item.

Mechanics

• The maps are tier 17 (area level 84) and are not part of the Atlas of Worlds. It does not grant completion on the Atlas for the named map.
• Upon completing the map (by killing the map bosses) and killing 90% of all monsters and every rare and unique monster (plus any additional required conditions from mods, if applicable), a Singular Reliquary spawns on the map, which contains the foil reward.
• Foil maps are not affected by the Atlas passive skill tree and cannot be modified with currency items. It cannot have master missions, map fragments, or map crafting options added to it.
• The difficulty of the modifiers affects the chance for that specific map to be chosen when opening a Valdo's Puzzle Box.

Modifiers

• Gain Instability on Kill, Unstable Players eventually detonate: For each kill you make, you receive a stack of Instability for 4 seconds. The duration refreshes whenever you gain Instability. You take damage based on the amount of Instability stacks on you when the effect expires.
• Players who Die in area are sent to the Void: On death, the player character is permanently dead and sent to the Void league, even on softcore leagues.

Item acquisition

Valdo's Puzzle Box has restrictions on where or how it can drop. Can drop in Tier 11+ Maps.

Introduced the Valdo's Puzzle Box. It currently has 345 options for foiled Tier 17 Valdo's Maps that it can yield. We are still working through the list of submissions from Sandwraith Assassin Supporters to get the others in as soon as possible. Valdo's Maps are considered "cleared" when you have completed the Map, killed all Rare and Unique Monsters, and killed 90% of the total number of Monsters in the area.
