Map:Tropical Island Map (Atlas of Worlds)

This map is based on The Southern Forest zone in Act 2. It consists of two long, narrow islands connected by a small cave. Sometimes there is a spot where movement skill can be used to get from one island to another.

Boss Arena

Boss doesn't have an arena. It stands at the end of the second island.

Boss

Blood Progenitor, a unique Chieftain.

• Allies deal extra physical damage
• Summons Blood Apes from nearby trees
• Frenzies nearby allies
• Summons a magic pack of Blood Apes at 75% health (summoned magic monsters cannot have a Bloodline mod)
• Spawns two unique Blood Apes at 50% health:
  • Spirit of Aidan, based on Aidan the Frenzied, has a haste aura
  • Spirit of Nadia, based on Nadia the Soothing, has a slow aura

Tactics

Blood Progenitor like all other Chieftain will attempt to summon Blood Apes to aid it in fighting the player, however, if there are no trees around when the attempt is made no apes will be summoned. This includes the two unique adds Spirit of Aidan and Spirit of Nadia. Drawing the boss out of the trees makes the fight much easier to handle at the cost of not gaining additional drops of the unique adds.
