Mechanics

Status ailments (such as shock) require an initial hit to determine whether they apply to the enemy. Therefore, the first hit on an ailment-free enemy will apply the shock, and only subsequent hits will leech life.

Applying shocking ground on the enemy can be used to skip the requirement of the first hit.

The card readily grants the Berek's rings.

3.8.0	No longer grants 1% of damage leeched as Mana against frozen enemies. Instead grants Energy Shield leech against frozen enemies. This does not affect existing versions of the item.
