Eldritch Ember refers to currencies that can add The Searing Exarch implicit modifiers to certain basetype:

Drops
Except the Lesser Eldritch Ember (which drop anyway apparently), the 3 higher tiers currencies are dropped from The Searing Exarch influenced map , or from the bosses The Black Star and The Searing Exarch themselves.
