Drop Restrictions

Vessel of Vinktar only drops from the Avatar of Thunder boss in The Vinktar Square.

Modifiers

The modifiers on Vessel of Vinktar follow an unusual scheme. The <Style Variant> placeholder is replaced by a set of modifiers from one of four possible variants[1], chosen randomly when the item is dropped:

  • Adds (15–70 to 25–90) Lightning Damage to Spells during Flask effect
  • Adds (25–105 to 35–130) Lightning Damage to Attack during Flask effect
  • Damage Penetrates 10% Lightning Resistance during Flask effect
  • 20% of Physical Damage Converted to Lightning during Flask effect

Mechanics

When used, the player and all enemies within (approximately) 30 units of the player will be shocked. The self-shocking can be avoided by any usual method of avoiding Shock, such as wearing Fairgraves' TricorneFairgraves' Tricorne

the seas, deep under the ground, and even beyond death.
or by using a flask with the of Grounding suffix. Enemies that move in and out of the 30 unit radius will correspondingly gain and lose the Shock status ailment.

When using multiple variants of Vessel of Vinktar simultaneously, all of the variants' distinct modifiers will apply, but the modifiers in common will not stack. For example, one can use two different Vessels of Vinktar to obtain both Adds (x-y) Lightning Damage to Spells during Flask effect and Damage Penetrates 10% Lightning Resistance during Flask effect, but one will still only have x% of Lightning Damage Leeched.

Legacy variants

Vessel of Vinktar has a legacy version:

Version Changes

  • Vessel of Vinktar has been reduced to 20% Life and Mana leech. It no longer grants "Leech applies instantly during Flask effect". It also consumes more charges when used, so you cannot use the flask twice per fill any more.
2.1.1d
  • Fixed a bug where the shock applied to nearby enemies when using the Vessel of Vinktar was removed when using a flask with the "of Grounding" suffix afterwards.
2.1.0
  • Introduced to the game.
