Ultimatum or known as Trials of Chaos, is the league mechanic of Ultimatum league.

Player need to select a mod to increase the difficulty of the trial, and then perform various object such as survive, defeat waves of enemies, stand in the stone circles, protect the altar, etc. After finish a wave successfully, player can choose to leave the trial with the loot, or enter the next wave.

Ultimatum can be encounter in most combat (non-town, non-hideout, non-PVP) area of the game , and can be encountered via misc map item Inscribed Ultimatum.
