Oils are a subtype of Stackable Currency added to the game in the Blight league. They drop from that leagues eponymous Blight encounters and can be used to modify items.

Mechanics

Oils can be applied to Blight maps, rings, amulets or blight unique items in order to add new modifiers or the effect of a passive skill:

Blight map	1x	Increased monster pack size and effect depending on the oil
Rings	2x	Buffs to Towers
Amulets Blight unique items	3x	Applies the effect of a passive skill from the passive skill tree without the need to allocate it.

Three units of oil can be vendored to create one vial of oil of the next tier, much like essences. For example, one Golden Oil will require 177147, or 3^11, Clear Oils. As such, it should only be used when one has a vast excess of one type of oil or needs a small amount of another type.
