Mastermind of Discord is a Notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Elementalist that grants elemental penetration based on the element keyword of a skill you used in the past 4 seconds.

Mechanics

Whenever use a skill with an element keyword ("Fire", "Ice", "Lightning"), you will gain penetration based on the keyword of the skill (Cold, Lightning, and Fire Penetration, respectively).

Mastermind of Discord will only check the Keyword of the skill to determine what type of penetration you receive, even if the damage gets converted to a different element. Skills with multiple elemental keywords, such as Elemental Hit and Module Error: Too many skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Wild Strike". Please choose only one of the following ids:
WildStrikeRoyale - Projectiles Pierce all Targets, Beams Chain (4-5) Times, Fires +3 Projectiles, (0-9)% increased Area of Effect, 100% of Physical Damage Converted to Fire, Cold or Lightning Damage, +(0-0.1) metres to Melee Strike Range (page)
WildStrike - Projectiles Pierce all Targets, Beams Chain (4-7) Times, Fires 3 Projectiles, (0-19)% increased Area of Effect, 100% of Physical Damage Converted to Fire, Cold or Lightning Damage (page)
