Where does the name "Proto-Vaal" come from? Is that a made-up description or a name explicitly mentioned in-game? If it's the former, then perhaps the description "primeval civilization" would be more appropriate since the descriptor "primeval" does actually show up in relation to these things: Primeval Ruins and Primeval Chamber.
