Template talk:Quest

TODO / Problems

• Sub-templates (TableRow, etc.) need to be renamed to sentence-case for consistency with all new templates.
• Tweak the layout spacing / CSS.
• Clicking edit on any section will edit the Quest/Default template and not the page. Example: Template:Quest/testcases/Enemy_at_the_Gate
• Add a /doc page which explains all the parameters with several examples.

"Clicking edit on any section will edit the Quest/Default template and not the page." This is how the wiki software handles transclusion of section headings. For example, if I for some reason wanted to transclude status ailment onto some other page, then clicking edit on one of the sections of the transcluded status ailment page would take me to the edit screen for the status ailment page. It's literally the same thing when it comes to transcluding templates. If you use a section heading in a template and transclude it somewhere, clicking edit takes you to the edit screen for that template. —User:Vinifera7 (talk) 07:51, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks :) I figured it was something like that. I can't think of a good solution however. The template needs to contain the reward data which needs to be displayed below the walkthrough. Both the reward data and walkthrough need sub-headings which will automatically show the edit button. I can write some CSS which hides the edit button or, better, some javascript which fixes the links. However both these solutions aren't ideal. Quest Template

Just noticed that we aren't using a Quest Template yet. This one seems to be 95% finished but affects the entire page and maybe has some unsolved issues. Any suggestions and/or ideas? --GoliathOffline (talk) 19:15, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Right Alignment
