New Helmets in Version 0.11.1
How do we want to handle the new helmet names? I say we just rename the existing pages to their new counterparts. Folivor pointed out that all the values remain the same it's just the names and images that change. I think leaving an entire page with the old artwork explaining that it's been removed and linking to the new item is just a huge waste of space. We can simply put a Version History Table on each of the new pages explaining the change as seen with Iron Hat. We need to come up with a solution soon. _FaceLicker (talk) 18:42, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- I've been thinking about this too. I think what you suggested makes the most sense. The alternative is retaining the old pages, adding version history, and changing the category to something like "Legacy helmets". That just seems unnecessary since they are the same helmets, just with new art and names. —Vinifera7 (talk) 18:51, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- I've begun moving the helmet pages to the new names. I realized it is better to leave a redirect for the moment this way the the tables on the Helmet page remain intact. Also, the unique items will still display the old base types so it's good to have a redirect in the mean time until they can be changed. Some helmets are exactly the same and do not have to be moved. Vine Circlet and Leather Hood are examples of those pages that do not move. _FaceLicker (talk) 19:06, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- If there are any new name helmets that had new pages created for them before the old page was moved (as was the case with Rusted Casque/Iron Hat), I can merge the edit histories. Just point those pages out to me and I will handle it. —Vinifera7 (talk) 19:10, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
