"The stash in Lioneye's Watch."
The stash in Lioneye's Watch.

The Stash is a bigger inventory, accessible by all characters you have in the same league. The Stash is located in each of the game's towns as well as in your hideout.

Each stash tab is 12x12, for a total of 144 grid spaces. The default number of stash tabs is four.

Items in the stash are separated by league, meaning a character in the standard league can't access the stash from the hardcore league and so on. Effectively, you start with four separate tabs in each league, including events such as races. Your stash on any permanent league will retain its contents, even if you have no characters on that league. (e.g. if you have 1 hardcore league character, put something in your stash, then die and are sent to standard league, making a new hardcore character will give you access to those stash items again).

You can rearrange tabs by clicking and dragging their name along the row. You can also see a vertical list of your tabs using a drop down menu on the top right corner of the stash screen.

Remove-only tabs

When a temporary league is ended, the stash tabs from that league will appear as remove-only tabs in the parent league. These tabs will remain remain indefinitely, but items cannot be put into them, even items which started out in that tab. Once a remove-only tab has been emptied, it will disappear next time you log in.

Race and other event prizes will be awarded using remove-only tabs containing the item.

Purchasing new tabs while you have remove-only tabs will not create new tabs, but rather convert the remove-only tabs to permanent tabs. While this means you still end up with more permanent tabs per league than you had, note that this will not create any new space in your stash if those remove-only tabs were already full.

Buying extra tabs

More stash tabs can be bought or upgraded to premium through microtransactions. Premium stash tabs can be colored and renamed by right clicking on the tab name. video

There are 5 options for buying tabs found in the "Account Features" section of the store:

  • 1 new tab: 30 points
  • 6 new tabs: 150 points
  • 1 new premium tab: 40 points
  • 6 new premium tabs: 200 points
  • Upgrade 1 normal tab to premium: 15 points

Increasing your tab count with these purchases will apply to every league (even the future ones). The maximum number of tabs the system can handle has been said to be over 64,000.

Guild Stash

Each town and hideout, once you join a Guild, will also have a Guild Stash near the regular stash. Guild stash tabs are shared with all members of the guild, with view/add/remove permissions as set by the Guild Leader. These permissions are set separately for leader, officer, and regular members, and can be applied to each tab by right clicking on its name.

Guild Stash tabs can be bought for 50 points in the Guild section of the store. Guild tabs are automatically Premium stash tabs that can be recolored and renamed, however they are currently not re-arrangeable.

Stash Item Highlighting

At the bottom of the stash is a search box you can use to find all items with a certain keyword or set of keywords. Once you type a word (or number) into the box, any tab you look at will search for items containing that word or sequence of characters anywhere in their name or stats. These items will be highlighted with a yellow border, and all other items will be greyed out. This does not change stash behaviour - you can still pick up a greyed out item.

Ctrl-f will focus the search box and highlight any text currently in it. Pressing enter, or clicking outside the search box, will remove focus focus from the search box without clearing it. Pressing escape will remove focus from the search box and also clear it.

The search box also supports some keywords, for example "itemlevel:22" or "ilvl:22" will highlight all items with an item level of 22. "ilvl:7" will show all items with an itemlevel of 7, and also any with an ilevel between 70 and 79.
