Sunblast is a unique Cloth BeltCloth BeltRequires Level 16(15-25)% increased Stun and Block Recovery.

Sunblast was featured in Season 2 Episode 10 of the Build of the Week series released by Grinding Gear Games.

Modifiers

Sunblast affects how traps used by the character work, including skills supported by the Module Error: No skills found with q_where = skill.active_skill_name="Trap" support gem.

The duration of traps is reduced by 80%. Since all traps have a base duration of 16 seconds as of Patch 2.0, this reduces the duration to 3.2 seconds if no other duration modifiers are in play. If the trap expires, it triggers its effect as though it was triggered by an enemy. If the trap is destroyed by damage, it does not trigger.

Traps will still trigger normally if an enemy enters within the trigger radius.

Interactions

, Sunblast will trigger the trap at the end of the original trap's duration.[1]

Example below explains the interaction as it would playout in-game:

Scenario 1: Player Throws a Trap while wearing Sunblast and multiple copies of Unstable Payload with no other duration modifiers. This Trap will last 3.2 seconds. A monster enters the trap's trigger radius after 1 second of the trap being armed and the trap detonates killing the monster. Thanks to Unstable Payload, the traps rearms itself and has a remaining time of 2.2 seconds. No other monsters enter the trap radius for the rearmed trap, causing Sunblast to trigger the Trap at the end of the duration.

Scenario 2: Player Throws a Trap while wearing Sunblast and multiple copies of Unstable Payload with no other duration modifiers. This Trap will last 3.2 seconds. A monster enters the trap's trigger radius right at 3.2 second of the trap being armed and the trap detonates killing the monster. Unstable Payload is unable to rearm the traps as there is no duration remaining for the traps to re-trigger.

Scenario 3: Player Throws a Trap while wearing Sunblast and multiple copies of Unstable Payload with no other duration modifiers. This Trap will last 3.2 seconds. No monsters enter the trap trigger radius, causing Sunblast to trigger the traps at 3.2 second. Unstable Payload is unable to rearm the traps as there is no duration remaining for the traps to re-trigger.

Scenario 4: Player Throws a Trap while wearing Sunblast, multiple copies of Unstable Payload, and 2 Cheap ConstructionCheap Construction

. This Trap will last 0 seconds. Sunblast will trigger the traps as soon as they are armed. Unstable Payload is unable to rearm the traps as there is no duration remaining for the traps to re-trigger.
