Global refers to a modifier that affects all damage sources, including Attacks, Spells, Damage over time and secondary damage. In game the modifier will be labeled global or will just say increased modifier without specifically labeling attack or spells. Global damage is sometimes referred to as generic damage.

Identifying Global Modifiers

Flat Damage on weapons is not considered global, unless it says global. Flat damage on items that are not weapons will not say global, but it is global. The same rules applies to increased damage modifiers.

Mechanics and Interactions

Options - Current offensive modifiers include accuracy, flat added damage, increased damage, added flat % critical strike chance, Increased critical strike chance and more damage. Current defensive modifiers include reduced damage taken and less damage taken.

secondary damage - Can only get increased damage from global modifiers.
