Think again?

Would you please explain the purpose of the think again page that you recently created? —Vini (t|c) 21:06, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

It was a joke page in response to this reddit comment. I don't mind at all if it gets removed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Maserkun (talkcontribs) 21:09, 16 August 2013
I will be removing it then. You don't get to create spam pages just to make a joke on reddit either. Consider this a warning. If it happens again I will have to issue a temporary ban. —Vini (t|c) 21:14, 16 August 2013 (UTC)

Renaming pages

Just an FYI here for future reference, when you want to rename a page all you have to do is simply 'move' the page to the new name. Do not create a new page with the new name and then redirect the old name as it screws up the edit history. To move a page, click the tab next to 'history' with the down arrow and select 'move'. You'll be given the option to create a redirect for the old name, the only difference is that it properly preserves the history. So, instead of creating a new page named Cast on Critical Strike and then blanking an redirecting Cast on Crit, all you had to do was move Cast on Crit to the new name. I'm going to fix this one since you renamed the new page incorrectly anyway =P - FaceLicker (talk) 12:43, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Page Redirects

Hey there, there's really no need to create loads of redirect pages like the recent Marakeeth Bow page, it's just unnecessary. Iamacyborg (talk) 17:54, 1 November 2013 (UTC)

Recreating deleted redirects

I previously deleted the pages Crit multi (redirected to Increased Critical Damage) and Block quiver (redirected to Rearguard) because those redirects are a novel or very obscure synonym for the page name. There is no reason to link to those redirects from an article. We would prefer, first of all, that you not clutter up the wiki with useless redirects. I would also prefer that you not recreate deleted pages ignoring the reason why it was deleted in the first place because I don't like having to ban people. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. —Vini (t|c) 16:24, 5 September 2014 (UTC)

When I search for something with a keyword that I think should lead me to the right page, but results in a blank page, I usually get annoyed and put a redirect so that I can find what I'm looking for immediately next time. Examples of this is "Crit multi" and "Crit dmg". "Crit damage" at least gives a link to the right page (even if it's not a redirect) so that is not as annoying, but I don't know how to add those. In this specific case, it was not my intention to ignore your reason to delete the page. I was simply too quick doing the same thing that I often do and didn't read the note until I had already submitted the change. I looked for a way to remove the page again, but didn't find it so after a couple of minutes I gave up and left it there. I'll try to be more attentive next time. —Maserkun (t|c) 16:54, 6 September 2014 (CEST)
Creating shortcuts for your own use is not actually the worst thing that you could do. However, "crit multi" is not even close to Increased Critical Damage; if anything, it should refer to critical strike multiplier. Meanwhile, if you search for "crit damage" the desired page is right within the first few search results. If you type "incr" into the search bar, it shows the desired page in the suggestions. —Vini (t|c) 17:39, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
