Merge similar articles

We don't need to maintain two articles about item filters. This page should be merged with the Item filter article. —Vini (t|c) 17:24, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

Qetuth Moved and we renamed this as the guide - after I created it under "Loot Filters" I believe it was. Happy for my guide to be moved yet again and be made the main article, as it covers everything I believe - minus a few links at the bottom / version information --Davros70 (talk) 07:36, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
The idea I had was to have one short article with basic info, and the other an in depth guide with screenshots and examples. But at the time I suggested that I couldnt even see the forum discussions on guides so didnt do much more than clean things up. --Qetuth-(talk) 08:20, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
It's been a long time since Item Filters were released and both articles are a bit of a mess, it looks like they're duplicating a lot of stuff. If we want raw info/guide split then there's a lot we could strip out of each one, or if take the duplication as a sign that people want an all-in-one page would could do that instead. Thoughts? --Teg42 (talk) 14:02, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
I think this was just a case of two authors making two separate guides and didn't feel like merging them. I don't like the duplicate info nor the first person writing. Feel free to merge them into a cleaner version. --Illviljan (talk) 23:52, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

Rework "color used in game" part

I suggest to display it as a table so you can copy and paste RGB color codes. Also it would be nice to add info where the particular color is being actually used (e.g. currency name color or gem name color etc.) --TheFrz (talk) 18:12, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

That'd be cool, is it something you'd be able to work on? Iamacyborg (talk) 19:01, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
Alright, I'll do it --TheFrz (talk) 19:03, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Well, I changed it. Now it's easy to change and add new colors. These colors come from a file in Content.ggpk (you can find an outdated version here: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/31b1ue/default_color_values_for_your_item_filters/). According to this I find out Davros70 made a mistake in his original post. As you may see there are 4 number codes sometimes. He took the first 3 numbers as it is RGBA but its ARGB (A for alpha). I've fixed this in my table.

Also there missing Divination Card color and probably some more so I think somebody (me?) should dig into Content.ggpk to find namedcolours.txt file. I can do it if you tell me how to. I did it. --TheFrz (talk) 21:20, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Clarify Flow of Control

Does evaluation stop as soon as an item matches one show or hide block, or continue, accumulating attributes? That is, if I have one block that matches "Two Hand" and makes them bold, and another that matches "Swords" and makes them green, will two hand swords be bold or bold and green? 23:11, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

An item only matches once, so 2h swords will be bold – Freeeeez aka TheFrz – 11:58, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

AlternateQuality, GemQualityType

AlternateQuality and GemQualityType keywords: do they exist (in version 3.23)?
What is their meaning? ("3.23: Anomalous, Divergent and Phantasmal Quality Gems have been removed from the game.")
How to use them?
Are there any "alternate" qualities or quality-replacements in the game?
For example, "Quality does not increase Physical Damage. +0.1 metres to Weapon Range per 10% Quality" (available via Harvest, I guess). Nmbaply (talk) 16:41, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

Alternate gem quality was removed from the game in version 3.23.0, so it's fine to delete the part about that from this guide. —Vini (t|c) 19:02, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
