Implicit modifier
Implicit modifiers are modifiers that a particular base item naturally has, before any affix adds additional modifiers. These are listed separately from affix-granted modifiers in their own section in the item tooltip. An item can have a maximum of one implicit modifier (the only exception being Greatwolf TalismanGreatwolf TalismanTalisman Tier: 4<Two random talisman implicit modifiers>CorruptedThe wolf greeted the king,
In the light of the harvest moon.
The wolf offered the strength of the wild,
And the king paid for it in blood.). Not all items have implicit modifiers. The numerical values of most implicit modifiers can be randomized with a Blessed Orb.
Items with implicit modifiers:
- Rings
- Amulets
- Belts
- Quivers
- Weapons (except axes and bows)
- Shields (except Tower Shields and Bucklers)
- Specific Body Armour (Astral Plate, Assassin's Garb, Occultist's Vestment, and Carnal Armour.)
Corrupting or enchanting an item can give it a (new) implicit modifier. Any previously existing implicit modifiers will be overwritten.
