Conqueror is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Champion that causes hits to apply Taunt. It also grants damage reduction if you've Taunted an enemy recently and increases the reduced damage against targets other than yourself from enemies Taunted by you.
Mechanics
Proxies - Totems, traps, mines, and other proxies inherit the 100% chance to Taunt on Hit. Proxies that persist will cause the character to benefit from the "20% less" damage reduction during the duration of the taunt. Proxies that are immediately destroyed (e.g. traps or mines) will cause the taunt to immediately wear off, causing the enemy to not be considered taunted apart from the moment it is hit.
