Mastermind of Discord is a notable Ascendancy passive skill for the Elementalist that grants mana regeneration, and reduce elemental resistance for element of exposure by 25%.

3.2.0	No longer grants penetration for 10 seconds when you use a skill of a certain element. Now grants penetration for the element you have a specific Herald active for. Added 25% increased Effect of Heralds on You and 25% reduced Mana Reservation of Herald Skills.
