All extra projectiles split from the point of the target, rather than the player.
Split projectiles will auto target enemies.
The order for projectile effects is: 1. pierce 2. fork 3. split 4. chain.
Barrage and volley fire make the first and last hits not count as projectiles, but their own attacks that can't shotgun single targets. This allows you to fire 3 times as many arrows, rather than just gaining an extra 2 projectiles that split.
