Can be updated by using a Divine Orb

I have read "Existing versions of this item can be updated by using a Divine Orb".

I have bought a good 40%-reducer Sibyl. (It had good stats, low rarity loss.) I have also bought a Divine orb. Then, in order to update my 40% Sibyl to 80%, applied the orb.

Tha Sibyl's good stats gone. It had high (almost the highest) rarity loss.

So I misunderstood the above (bottom) note. Please make it clear(er) that the Divine orb does NOT have any "update" function. It just has 1 (one) function: rolls a die, constraining the random numbers to the allowed ranges (in the case of reflection reduction, 80..80). So, it is just a side effect, that old 40% value become 80%. Does not retain any stat (rolls die for each). Does not recognizes "old" item versions. Dndm 03:06, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
