Lua error in Module:Item2/core at line 500: The "class_id" parameter is required.. Remnant of Corruption is an essence.
Obtaining
- Trapped monsters possessing a Remnant of Corruption cannot be leeched from.
On slaying a monster bearing a Remnant of Corruption, the remnant is dropped just like normal essences. Additionally two Fleshmonsters spawn on the drop location.
Spending
Corrupting the Essence a monster is trapped in will result in one of the following outcomes chosen at random:
- Mobs are broken free with empowered stats.
- All contained essences are upgraded by 1 tier level.
- Another essence is added.
- Upgrade the essence type to a higher essence type in the tiered progression.
This is the only way to obtain an Essence of Hysteria, Essence of Insanity, Essence of Horror, or Essence of Delirium which can only be obtained by corrupting monsters with an Essence of tier 5 (Misery, Envy, Dread, and Scorn).
