Lua error in Module:Item2/core at line 500: The "class_id" parameter is required.. Remnant of Corruption is an essence.
Obtaining
- Using a
Vaal OrbVaal OrbStack Size: 20Corrupts an item, modifying it unpredictablyRight click this item then left click an item to corrupt it. Corrupted items cannot be modified again.
on a Map might increase the chance that essence crystals contain a Remnant of Corruption [citation needed]. - Tormented Spirits might be able to add a Remnant of Corruption to an essence monster [citation needed].
On slaying a monster bearing a Remnant of Corruption, the remnant is dropped just like normal essences. Additionally two Fleshmonster spawn on the drop location.
Spending
Corrupting the Essence a monster is trapped in will result in one of the following outcomes chosen at random:
- Mobs are broken free with empowered stats.
- All contained essences have their level increased by 1.
- Another essence is added.
- Upgrade the essence type to a higher essence type in the tiered progression.
This is the only way to obtain an Essence of Hysteria, Essence of Insanity, Essence of Horror, or Essence of Delirium which can only be obtained by corrupting monsters with an Essence of tier 5 (Dread, Scorn, Envy, Misery).
