Tier 4 rampage effect

Rampage is a kill streak mechanic exclusive to Rampage league that provides rewards for killing increasing numbers of enemies without stopping. After the Rampage league ended, this mechanic was not added to the core game in an always-on way. It is still available as a map effect through Zana's map device and in the future, Rampage league-exclusive unique items will grant a form of Rampage.[1]

Mechanics

The rampage counter keeps a running total of consecutive kills. When the character or a nearby party member fails to get a kill within five seconds of the previous kill, the rampage counter will reset to zero. Enemies that award no experience—including spawned or resurrected monsters, summoned minions, and the lesser creatures that appear after killing a fractured monster—do not count toward the rampage counter. When the counter reaches certain milestones, the character enters a new rampage tier and a special, beneficial effect is triggered. In addition to the tier effects, the character gains 1% increased movement speed for every ten kills in the rampage streak.

Rampage tiers

There are 13 rampage tiers. The number of kills required per tier increases with difficulty: 120% for Cruel and 160% for Merciless.

Tier Kills Effect
Normal Cruel Merciless
1 15 18 24 A nova of spears that damage and stun surrounding enemies
2 30 36 48 A large area of effect Detonate Dead
3 45 54 72 Animated weapons
4 70 84 112 A damaging nova that echoes off of enemies (like Vaal Ice Nova)
5 100 120 160 A nova of arcing spears that damage and stun surrounding enemies
6 135 162 216 Animated bows
7 175 210 280 5 damaging novas cast with ~1 second intervals
8 220 264 352 A cyclone spawns from you. When the cyclone kills an enemy, another cyclone appears
9 270 324 432
10 325 390 520 Cyclone that explodes nearby enemies
11 385 462 616 5 novas of spears that damage and stun surrounding enemies
12 450 540 720
13 520 620 832
