Enemies take Physical Damage over time

Enemies take Lightning Damage over time

Degeneration Aura is a monster aura that deals chaos damage over time to nearby enemies. It can be found on monsters with the mod Enemies take Chaos Damage over time that displayed under their nameplate, or monster that use the skill id ChaosDegenAura (it will not display in the nameplate). Monster with any one variant, will have a visual aura-effect under it.

The Degeneration aura also has physical damage and lightning damage variants, but they are more rarely found.

Chaos

There are two variants of Chaos Degeneration Aura:

Any unique monster with the modifier MonsterAuraEnemyLifeDegen1 (4% of Maximum Life taken per second as Chaos Damage):
- Oozeback Bloom and its map variants: Drought-Maddened Rhoa, Skullbeak
- Plauge Retch
- Rancor
- Abaxoth, the End of All That Is (no longer encounterable in-game)

Any monster that use the skill ChaosDegenAura (deals a fixed base Chaos DOT), for example:
- Shaggy Monstrosity (can be a raised spectre)
- Kalria, The Risen (a Warband member and the second form of Kalria, The Fallen)
- Unthinking (no longer encounterable in-game)

The laser beam found in The Eradicator's arenas applies a debuff known as "Degeneration Aura".

Version history

Version	Changes
1.0.0	Rare degeneration bears that generate with an aura from a mod now cast their degeneration aura properly as well.
0.11.1e	The monster life degeneration aura now shows on affected targets.
0.9.9	The unique Rhoa in the Mud Flats, Oozeback Bloom, now has a life degeneration aura and can charge at you again.
