Expedition artifacts are a type of currency used to buy items from Expedition NPCs.

Broken Circle Artifacts

Version history

3.17.0	[Undocumented This change was not documented by any official sources. It was discovered through player testing or datamining.] The naming of the artifact progression has been changed: Common → Greater, Greater → Grand, Grand → Exceptional.
3.16.0	Expedition Artifacts are no longer tradeable items, which has two key effects. The first is that they are automatically collected as you complete Expeditions, and the second is that all characters can now engage with the Kalguuran merchants without having to feel that their best plan is to trade the currency away to other players who may use it more efficiently than them. It's a difficult decision working out whether to make specific items tradeable or not, but we feel that on balance, this new approach will solve several problems with the system. It's also worth noting that the currency items that allow you to reroll the vendors' inventories are still tradeable.
