Wild Spikeback
Location(s) Map version Sacred Grove (by random)

Wild Spikeback is a T2 harvestable monster. It spawned in a map version the Sacred Grove (not the map frag version) by random, in a hibernated state. Player can choose to harvest this monster along with the monsters of the same plot in order to received the one time use crafting recipe from this monster.

Note that after the rework of harvest mechanic, this monster can spawns as adds of the plot but would not grant any crafting option. The T4 harvest monsters as well as Oshabi may also summoned this monster as adds.

The monster itself is a spiker. Known commonly among the gaming community as porcupine.

Recipes

Reveal a random crafting effect that reforges a rare item a certain way when harvested:[1]

  • Reroll a Rare item, keeping all Prefixes
  • Reroll a Rare item, keeping all Suffixes
  • Reroll a Rare item, being much less likely to receive the same modifier types
  • Reroll a Rare item, being much more likely to receive the same modifier types
