Patch notes

These are the official patch notes for version 0.6.8 released by Grinding Gear Games.[1]

  • Complete overhaul of passive skill tree with many more stats
  • Changed Twilight Strand and The Ledge to use new random generator
  • Added new Tidal Passage level
  • Added item Exalted Orb: adds a mod to rare item
  • Added item Jeweler's Orb: rerolls sockets
  • Added item Orb of Transformation: rerolls a magic item
  • Added item Orb of Souring: converts an item into its plain base type
  • Added implicit cold damage to Leather Belt
  • Nerfed ice nova (-40% damage, costs more mana)
  • Nerfed currency item drop rates substantially
  • Nerfed "increased item quantity" stat by 50%
  • Nerfed energy shield quantities by 50%
  • Nerfed mana regen
  • Boosted energy shield regen
  • Brightened lighting in act 1 town
  • Added skill weapon restrictions
  • Implemented skill area of effect boosts
  • Improved Ground Slam effects
  • Allowed three sockets to spawn on the highest weapons/armours
  • Further tidied up character screen stats
  • Smallcaps version of font used in item rendering
  • Better descriptions of skills on gem hovers
  • Fixed blocked doorways in prison
  • Fixed materials used in waterfalls
  • Fixed layout issues with NPC windows and item hovers
  • Fixed font scaling issues
  • Lengthened chat message fade delay
  • Passive screen now shows attributes the skill would grant
  • Accuracy used for bows (they can miss now)
  • Weapon type is checked correctly in stats
  • Fixed resizing issue with minimap
  • Red outline on monsters works correctly and intensity represents health amount
  • Fixed a bug with de-equipping weapons that you can't use
