This subpage provides documentation for Template:Map disambiguation.
This template is deprecated.
Please use {{Map variants}} instead.
Map disambiguation creates a list of items that have the same name or has been renamed.
Overview
The template displays a list of all map pages that share the same base name and differ in a disambiguation suffix in parenthesis. The template follows this procedure:
- Cargo queries for the item name according to
name
. - From the results it retrieves the items previous name from
items.name_list
and queries for those item names as well. This steps is repeated until all names has been tested. Note that name_list should only be filled in for the item when the name actually changed. Don't copy paste from previous item variants. - The sorting order is according to the the following cargo fields:
items.release_version DESC, items.removal_version DESC, items.name ASC, maps.area_id ASC
. Meaning that it is important to update each drop disabled{{item}}
with theremoval_version
. Otherwise the template will not sort correctly.
