What does "Reduced Totem Damage" mean?
In Path of Building, with a Barrage ballista totem, with a "Rain of Splinters, 40% reduced totem damage" gem, I can see the following:
Without the gem:
The totem's "1 projectile" average damage is 8524.9
The Total DPS (without impale) is 67005.6
The Total DPS, including impale is 120978.5
The projectile count is 6 (1base +4barrage +1deadeye).
With the gem:
The totem's "1 projectile" average damage is 8032.4
The Total DPS (without impale) is 84179.8
The Total DPS, including impale is 151986.7
The projectile count is 8 (1base +4barrage +1deadeye +2rainof).
So where is any 40% damage reduction?
How can a 8/6 increase (33.3% increase) in arrow count compensate (and much more) the 40% decrease? Dndmpdju9kvo4fwpxn5 (talk) 00:49, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
