- Official statement, 5 April 2012, "We've opened up sales of microtransaction points packages."
- The shop URL was found on 6 April 2012, but not archived due to HTTP 302 Response
- One of earliest Stash Tab mentions on the forums (4th May 2012): https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/30437/page/1
- Despite the official statements from above, the second post in this thread describes the microtransactions in future tense: "The item store will sell cosmetic items, like pet-kiwi's, color changers, animations, extra stash tabs & character slots."
While I am still not completely confident of when the extra stash tabs were introduced, I think 5th April 2012 is the most probable time point since the extra stash tabs don't seem to be mentioned in changelogs or existing forum posts from that time. (double-check please)
