Ruinous Wager is an Atlas passive skill and Atlas keystone, specifically for the Ultimatum league encounter.

Mechanics

Ruinous Wager makes Ultimatum monsters apply Ruin on using their special abilities. If the player reaches 7 ruin stacks, the Ultimatum encounter prematurely ends, failing the encounter and forfeiting all accrued rewards. However, it reduces the damage both the Ultimatum monsters and the Ultimatum modifiers deal by half.

This keystone does not block the "Ruin I" Ultimatum modifier, allowing it to be taken without any additional penalty.

Location

As of version 3.23.0, it is located near the bottom-left of the Atlas passive skill tree inside the Ultimatum cluster containing Conquer The Stones, Survive The Assault, Slaughter Them All, and Protect The Altar Notable Passives.
