"Fire damage dealt over time by the beams is considered burning damage, and therefore benefits from increased burning damage modifiers. Counterintuitively, increased fire damage, increased elemental damage, and increased spell damage modifiers do not benefit this skill.[1]"

Is this still true after the Damage Over Time changes in the most recent patch? Monkeyfetus (talk) 22:39, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

According to the patch notes, increased fire damage mods are supposed to benefit, but I'm not sure about elemental damage. Spell damage does not benefit. —Vini (t|c) 04:34, 1 December 2013 (UTC)
"Generic modifiers to damage dealt will now apply to damage over time that your character causes. Damage over time is not spell damage, nor attack damage, so modifiers specific to those types will not apply. Non-specific "increased damage" modifiers will apply to damage over time. Type-specific modifiers will apply as well. For example, "increased fire damage" modifiers will apply to fire damage over time."
I think DoT isn't directly part of any attacks or skills (they just create the dot) so they don't get spell/attack bonuses. Elemental seems like it should apply. Magnanimous2 (talk) 22:39, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

Would Searing Bond benefit from Rapid Decay? --GhostwheelX (talk) 23:12, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
