Poorjoy's Asylum is a unique .

Map Type
Indoors. Based on The Lunaris Temple Level 1 (Act 3).

Boss
* Mistress Hyseria

Modifiers
The <Item Class> placeholder is replaced by one of 22 possible item classes, chosen randomly: Amulets, belts, body armours, boots, bows, claws, daggers, gloves, helmets, one-handed axes, one-handed maces, one-handed swords, one-handed thrusting swords, quivers, rings, sceptres, shields, staves, two-handed axes, two-handed maces, two-handed swords, and wands. For example, a Poorjoy's Asylum could roll with mod. Using a Divine Orb will change the item class.

Strategy
Due to the massive bonus to monster damage, the risk of getting killed in a fraction of a second in this map is severe. Enemies to beware of include:

* Whipping Miscreations can deal upwards of 2000 damage per hit in this map, more if they are able to curse you with Vulnerability beforehand or have damage-increasing affixes. Try not to be attacked by more than one at a time.
* Burned Miscreations deal upwards of 2000 damage per second with their Unrighteous Fire.

Version history
VersionHistoryTable
3.1.0
* Added 32 new maps including two new Unique maps.
* The entire Atlas has been reworked. Many map names have changed, as have their balance, tier and position on the Atlas. Many maps have also had their boss fights swapped or completely reworked.
* The rules used to generate monsters in endgame maps have been significantly reworked and rebalanced around the rate at which we expect players to reliably clear out the map. In general, narrow, linear maps will contain fewer total monsters than maps with complex layouts. We will be closely monitoring and adjusting the balance of this change and expect to make further changes and improvements over time.
0.11.5
* Introduced to the game.
