Embers of the Allflame (or Allflame embers) are a type of item found in the Necropolis league. They are used in the Lantern of Arimor to transform a monster pack into a different one.
Mechanics
On the Lantern of Arimor interface, you can use the ember on one of the monster pack to transform it. The transformed monster pack will have its monster type and pack size replaced with the one listed on the Allflame ember, while keeping the original's pack density. Some embers can add a special pack leader monster to packs, and some add a boss monster to one of the packs, which will always drop a reward that can be obtained from the ember.
The ember is not consumed until the zone is opened. You can right-click the monster icon to undo the ember use.
Embers of the Allflame cannot be used if the difference between the zone level and the item level is too large. The exact amount depends on the zone level, with the level range becoming lower at higher levels. At level 83 (tier 16 maps), the maximum level range is 3.
Monsters from the ember of the Allflame can be raised as spectres.
