"Damage over time multiplier" is a stat that affects damage over time.

Mechanics

The DoT multiplier is a More multiplier to damage over time. Different DoT multipliers are additive with each other, even if they apply to different types and sources of damage over time, so long as they apply to the DoT in question; the damage over time is then multiplied by the resulting sum.

All characters inherently have +50% to Damage over Time Multiplier for Ailments from Critical Strikes. This is distinct from the character's inherent 150% Critical Strike Multiplier, although the Perfect Agony Keystone causes Critical Strike Multiplier modifiers to partially apply to Ailments from Critical Strikes. Conversely, Elemental Overload prevents Ailments from ever counting as Critical Strikes.
